Anna is originally from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, where she trained with Jessica Wilson at MetroWest Ballet. She received a B.A. in Dance and a B.S. in Neuroscience at Duke University, where she had the opportunity to perform the work of Gerald Arpino, Amanda K. Miller, Julie Janus Walters, Tyler Walters, Barbara Dickinson, and Monica Hogan. Her thesis, entitled, "Paradoxical Control: How Romantic and Enlightenment aesthetics are created in ballet today," earned her a Graduation with Distinction in Dance. Anna joined MOVEIUS Contemporary Ballet in 2015. She performed original choreography by Diana Movius, Lucy Bowen McCauley, and Carrie Denyer in venues ranging from the Kennedy Center to the Petworth Dance Project. She also performed with Antonini Dance. She has spent summers at Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, José Mateo Ballet Theatre, Orlando Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Anna moved to San Francisco in 2016 to pursue a Ph.D. in Neuroscience.
